Best Baits: Pole fish pinkies, caster or hemp for roach and bream, boilies or pellets for carp, for bream use a groundbait feeder with redworm and maggot on the hook and for pike use a float fished sprat or lures.
Getting There: From j25, M25, take the A10 towards Enfield. Turn left, signalled Enfield Freezy Water. Go over the crossroads into Mollison Avenue, A1055, and take a left into Smeaton Road. Turn right at the Greyhound Pub into South Ordnance Road. Go down here to Enfield Lock and the car park is next Swan and Pike Pool. |
This coarse fishing venue is controlled by the Lee Angler's Consortium. This stretch is 2.5 miles long, 16 metres across and depths to 6ft down the middle. Species found here are bream to 5lbs, roach to 1lb, carp to 20lbs, pike to 18lbs, zander to 6lbs, tench to 3lbs, perch to 2lbs, gudgeon, chub and eels.
