Been looking at Stanborough Lakes, Herts to fish, as it is a disabled fishery and they have designated swims. However, most are taken from over night and early morning. The idea is that the disabled fisherman must asked for a swim to be vacated so he can park up and enjoy his time at the lake. I waited four years to get a key as there was a waiting list. How these other fishermen get the vehicles in means they have a key or drive round the lake which is possible. I use my mobility scooter when I cant walk it. I've seen fishermen park in the car park and load the gear on a barrow and push it round to the disabled swims when most of the undesignated swims are empty. The local authority condones this operation.

Stanborough is great fishing for carp. Big fish in there. Use pineapple 16 to 20 mm boilies and catch all day long.....Tom.
