Holwell Court is a mature estate coarse fishery contained mixed stocks. Although offering mixed coarse fishing, the emphasis is on carp with an average size just under double figures with the biggest over 34lb. Many of the carp can be seen cruising around the surface in the summer months and they congregate in the deeper hole at the far end in the colder months
Strawberry mini-boilies with loose-fed pellets work well for the carp, even in the margins where tench [to 10lb] and bream [to 9lb] can also be found. Roach and rudd can be found in large quantities. Several large catfish have been caught recently with a best of just over 30lb with the venue record being 39lb. Luncheon meat seems to be the favourite bait for the catfish. large pike are also present.
* No keepnets or carp sacks allowed * Unhooking mats compulsary * Particles only allowed as hook baits
