Old River is a three quarter mile coarse fishery controlled by Seaford Angling Club which used to be part of the Sussex Ouse. A double s-snake shaped venue, Old River offers excellent coarse fishing containing carp to 20lb, pike to 20lb, bream to 9lb, tench to 7lb, eels to 5lb, perch to 3lb 8oz, crucians to 2lb and roach and rudd to 1lb 8oz. Strictly no pole fishing at this venue and barbless hooks only.

Best tactics inlcude ledgered meat, peperami or boilies for carp and small groundbait feeder or float tactics with chopped worm, caster or corn for bream. Silver fish can be caught using float fished caster or maggots whilst perch and eels fall readily to float fished worm. Try float fished sea dead baits for pike.
