Entire Farm is a superb coarse fishery in Essex. This well established venue is a superbly stocked carp water with specimens in the main 45 peg lake well into double figures. As well as carp, tench, bream, roach and chub are all present. The main lake is fairly open with shallow margins and the odd reed bed and trough.

The 15 peg small lake holds mostly carp with the odd Koi. This lake has more features than the main lake with a small island the main feature.

Best tactics include double maggot, meat or corn on the feeder, pole or waggler. Floating bread scores well in summer with boilies and pellets accounting for many large carp. Loose feed little and often

Entire Farm is available for club match bookings so it can get quite busy at weekends.

* NEW: no floating baits allowed because of the vast amount of ducks and geese.

* no cat food
* no cereal groundbait
* no carp over 3lb in keepnets except matches
* barbless hooks only

Reader Feedback - April 2011:
Having not fished for around 20 years, when asked by a colleague to come and have ago, I jumped at the chance. (and I'm hooked again). An absolute awesome day. Never known a day like it. We had close to 15 carp, each ranging from 6lb to 15lb, a golden tench, a normal tench and a zillion rudd, roach and gudgeon. Great fun.

As for the rules - I think they're perfectly acceptable and they had no detrimental effect what so ever on the day. Can't wait to get back there.

Reader Feedback - November 2009:
Fished for the first time at the weekend and cannot agree with there being too many rules. Far less than many places. The place is full of fish and most in good condition for a commercial. Range from pasties to decent doubles. Also seems to be some decent rudd but it's the carp we came for. Even in winter we had a number of ton up weights. For what it charges, £10, this is fantastic fishing. Just wish the toilets were more than a grubby portaloo.

Just a quick note about the previous review posted about Entire Farm, Highwood, Essex. On arrival you are met by boards with rules written on them ... board one: No alcohol, Board two: No floater fishing, Board three: No fishing after 1830 hours. So before making a journey to this lake (use the word lake loosely, actually quite a small couple of ponds, be aware of the above and the overly strict rules which seem to rule out enjoyment. I went from here to Birds Green and had a superb time, with floaters, alcohol and until dusk:) Cheers and tight lines.

Anyone going to Entire farm, take chum mixers and bait bands as this venue has carp off the top. You will get at least 200lb off the top. If its hot and you're after carp then just take chum mixers - it's all you need for a very, very great day. Fred the bailiff will tell you the same! Have a great day out ...
