Willow Lake: Opened in the summer of 2006 Willow Lake has been fishing well. Good lake for children or families,20 pegs, stocked mainly with fish around 1lb mark but also a few larger fish for the occassional surprise. Stock includes koi carp, ghost carp, golden tench, green tench, barbel, chub, roach, rudd and ide
Horseshoe Lake: 37 peg lake stocked with carp to 20lb, bream 11lb, roach 2lb, barbel 3lb, chub to 5lb, golden rudd and tench.
Baggers Lake: this is the match lake of 37 pegs holding a very large head of carp at 1-3 lbs. Also around 30 fish of 7-20lbs, with roach, rudd, chub, bream and tench also present.
Mystery Lake: small lake of 7 pegs, very deep in places which was part of the original site and contains carp not stocked by us which have been caught to 18lbs and we believe other larger fish are present. Also stocked with tench, bream, crucian carp to 3lbs, roach and rudd.
Pole, waggler and feeder all score well with the usual stillwater baits proving successful. Meat, pellets and corn usually tempt the larger fish.
August 2006: 2 other lakes are yet to be constructed but work will start again this winter.
Reader Comments:
I have been fishing there quite frequently from last September and my personal best fish has come out of there which is 13lb because i've only been fishing 1 and a half years. Looking forward to the new lakes and some bigger fish.
