At Long last, angling is all set to net its own multi-purpose National Angling Center. Full planning permission has been granted and six lakes (providing a total of 200-pegs) are currently being stocked with carp, roach, rudd and tench in readiness for the grand opening in late 2005.The exciting new complex is at Whitmore, near Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. It will be managed jointly by Whitmore Leisure and the National Federation of Anglers. All three disciplines (coarse, game and sea anglers) will be catered for as indeed will all sectors of the community. | ||

Jubilee River in Southwest London finally opened to day ticket anglers at the end of 2004. After nearly 8 years in the making, the venue leaves the River Thames just below Taplow Weir in Maidenhead and flows southeast until it rejoins the Thames just above Black Potts Weir at Windsor and Eton. |
