Longmoor Lake holds large Tench over 8lbs, Mirror Carp over 25lbs, Beautiful stock of Mirrors and Commons, average size over 15lbs, Large Pike over 20lbs, Roach, Crucian Carp, Rudd and Perch. Coarse fishing at night allowed by syndicate members only. No barbed hooks or nut baits allowed.

Longmoor Lake has been restocked as I went there for a 24 hour session and was hauling good sized tench of around 8 pound and 15 to 16 pound carp ... it makes good fishing, well worth a trip and good affordable fishing for once.

During 2007/2008 I fished regularly at Longmoor Lake. I have positives and negatives about my experience fishing there. My main negative is the size of the fish, although advertised on your site, the carp were not averaging at 15lb, and I never saw a tench bigger than 1-2lb. I've yet to see or hear of the monsters that supposedly lurk at Longmoor Lake. Unless of course there has been more stock added since 2008. However I still had lots of fun, as size doesn't always matter. Rather the quantity. During the warmer periods I was hauling in up to 40+ each of tench and carp on a day session, which is quite remarkable. I was constantly occupied as I only only had to wait moments for a bite every time I cast out. Personally I rate this fishing spot at 7/10, 10/10 if there were larger fish and lots of them. I plan to return to my old haunt at Longmoor Lake in the coming weeks, after a year out. I am definitely looking forward to it.
